![]() Note that the cut is currently not precise around the cutpoints, so video before/after the nearest keyframe will be lost. Instead it creates a lossless export in the same directory as the original file with from/to timestamps. Note: The original video files will not be modified. If you want to move the original file to trash, press the trash button Press the camera button (or C) to take a snapshot Press the scissors button (or E) to export the slice If you want to override orientation metadata, press the rotation button If you want to export to a certain dir, press the custom output dir button (default: input file dir) This is useful for cutting away certain parts of a video (by selecting everything except the parts not needed.) If you want to re-merge all the selected segments after cutting, toggle the button nm (no merge) to am (auto merge). If you want to cut more segments out of the video, press + or the c+ button to add another segment, then select the next segment with I/O. Press I to select the start time, O to select the end time for the cut. My internal backup drive mounts at /media/ultrabay and my NAS mounts at /media/synology.Drag drop a video file into player to load or use ⌘/CTRL+O. This tells linux to re-read the contents of fstab and mount what it finds in there. When you have made changes to fstab, you can test with sudo mount -a. You can then scroll down and double click on fstab to edit it. The easiest way - in your file manager (nemo if running cinnamon) navigate to /, right click on /etc and 'open as root'. Do not try to type it in, copy/paste from the terminal output. You get the UUID as the output from blkid. The first user created in mint is given a uid of 1000. Uid=1000,gid=1000 windows does not support linux file permissions, this is telling linux who the owner is. Linux is case sensitive so I keep it simple, all lowercase and NO spaces. Mountpoint - you must create the folder first. Needed for a removable drive, not important for a fixed internal drive. Thank you so much, the "programm cannot see my drives " is logicaly explained with the sandboxinstallation!Ĭode: Select all UUID=4F8FF55A05DA9208 /media/ultrabay ntfs defaults,uid=1000,gid=1000,nofailĐĒ nofail means mint is not going to hang for 90 seconds on boot if the drive is not present. Your explanation of /media and /mnt is a lot more logical.ĭo i have to face any problems in the future because i mounted my harddrives as i did? ( in /HD ) I did not understand the /mnt Part, the difference between /media and /mnt is so little, why create such a folder?īecause i was confused, i created the /HD folder. In a couple of forums /mnt is also mentioned to keep free in general, used for devices which are connected a longer time, but not mounted generally, as external USB-Harddrives. In a lot forums, /media is mentioned to be only for temporary uses / mounted devices, as USB-Sticks. The Mointpointpositions were at the beginning a big thing for me. Thank you for your hints, leaving windows seems to be for everyone the same story. I had no problems with read only when switching from Win10, but i think this feature of Win10 was one of the first to disable. Thank you so much! The different installationtypes are new to me, you are right, i learned thank the flatpak is a "sandbox" environment! Thank you! Greetings from Germany, Thomas LosslessCut April, 5th 2023 - 158 MB - Freeware Features Screenshots Change Log Old Versions Latest Version: LosslessCut 3.53. Is there any chance to get acces to my drives? Is the NTFS the problem? Why is the /HD Folder not visible? I tried to change the option Filesystem in"drives" from auto to ntfs, but still the same Problem. I had the same issue with another programm, i think it was an MP3 Tag Editor. ![]() But only the Appimage has acces to my drives. I can also see the drives when using the "other locations" Button.īoth versions seem to open the Standard Linux mint file explorer. When i use the Appimageversion of Losslesscut, i can reach the /HD without any Problems. Works fine, but i cannot reach my mountpoints. Now i installed the programm losslesscut. I mounted the drives using the "drives" Feature of Linux-Mint. ![]() īecause the PC was using Windows 10 before, and is still in Multi-Bootmode, the additional Harddisks are NTFS-Filesystem. Most things are easy, but i have a few things i cannot solve.įor explanation, i have 3 additional Harddrives in the PC, which i mounted under /HD/Daten or /HD/Filme. ![]() I am an absolute Linux-beginner, Linux Mint 21 runs as a Multi-Boot since a week or so. ![]()
